URC has spent four decades building control systems for custom installation, and the company's strength is reliability over novelty. Total Control puts audio, video, lighting, shades, climate, security, and irrigation behind one programmed interface, whether the client reaches for a handheld remote, an in-wall touch panel, a tabletop tablet, or a phone.

The hardware matters here. Total Control network processors, MRX room controllers, TRC handheld remotes with backlit hard buttons, and in-wall TKP panels are all built for permanent installation, and the system runs locally rather than depending on a cloud service to turn on a television. Two-way feedback means the interface reflects what the equipment is actually doing instead of firing blind IR commands and hoping.

The experience clients notice is the macro: one button that dims the lights, drops the shades, powers the projector, selects the source, and sets the volume for the room. Guests can operate the theater without a lesson, and multi-zone audio, cameras, and door locks live in the same app instead of five separate ones.
