Transrotor crafts some of the world's most stunning and precise turntables in Germany. Founded by Jochen Räke in the 1970s, the company has spent five decades refining a single idea: that a turntable should be both a precision instrument and a piece of sculpture. Massive aluminum and acrylic platters, magnetically-decoupled bearings, and obsessive machining tolerances produce a black background and rhythmic stability that few designs in any price class can match.

From the compact Dark Star to flagship models like the Tourbillon and Argos, every Transrotor is built to order and can be configured with one to four tonearms, optional TMD magnetic bearings, and finishes ranging from clear acrylic to mirror-polished aluminum and 24-karat gold plating. The result is a deck that anchors a serious analog system for decades, not a product cycle.

We set up Transrotor decks in our Charlottesville listening room with matched tonearms and cartridges from our partner lines (Aesthetix, Aqua, MIT, Analysis Plus) so Virginia clients can hear the table in a properly built reference system before committing. Sold, set up, and shipped nationwide, with white-glove delivery and on-site setup available across Charlottesville and Richmond.
